Elena in Austria

When Elena arrived in Austria - stop number 4 - she was picked her up by Manuel Redmann who kindly changed his job description for a couple of days and brought her to people who wanted to share their Falk stories with her.

The two of them spoke about Petra’s early days setting up the company, her aha moment at a symposium, values & vision, about being authentic and her great team in Austria.

In Vienna, whilst on tour with Markus Kernbauer-Hölzl, Elena stumbled across scales.

He told Elena how he heard about Falk and what made him joined the company.

She also works for Dr. Falk Pharma in Austria and told Elena about working at a family-owned company and that she really appreciates how you are not just a number at Falk.

How he once received support in a medical case

He showed Elena “historic” primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) study material, explained how pre-clinical research works and when Falk got involved in his study and they talked about Falk Foundation events and how they bring people together from all over the world, poster awards for young scientists and – last but not least – about luck.

Whilst on the road through Austria, he described what Falk stands for and summarized the time he’s been with the company – using one word!

She told Elena about her work at Dr. Falk Pharma Österreich, her colleagues, Herbert Falk and rare diseases.

The two of them spoke about the Falk Foundation Symposium in Innsbruck over 20 years ago, what it was like to organise it together with Herbert Falk and what kind of person he was.
