Following the footsteps of our founder

Dr. Dr. Herbert Falk founded our company in 1960. When he passed away, his granddaughter Elena was still quite young and therefore she never really met him. And because she wanted to know what kind of person he was and what people connected with him – especially regarding the company he created - she decided to follow her grandpa's footsteps:

First stop for Elena on her journey: Switzerland! Find out who she met and which places she visited.

Elena's second stop on her journey: the Dr. Falk Pharma headquarters in Freiburg, Germany.

After Switzerland and Freiburg, the next stop for Elena was the UK. Again, she met many people who told her about Falk and her grandpa.

In Austria, Manuel Redmann changed his job description for a couple of days and brought Elena to people who shared their Falk stories with her.

 In Amsterdam she heard from people who haven't been with the company for long what it is like to work for Falk.

Her trip took her from Bordeaux, via Paris to Lyon - with beautiful encounters, an interview in French and a map challenge on a train...

In Madrid, Elena learned a lot about her grandfather and was once again told touching stories.

Elena found out a lot about the importance of Falk meetings and her grandpa in Porto.

In Italy, Elena was told many of nice stories about Falk and learned a lot about EoE.

As it was a bit too far to travel to, Elena spoke with Australian doctors and colleagues about Falk in Spain.

Last stop for Elena: Germany. She travelled from the south to the north to speak to doctors about Falk and her grandpa.

Once Elena's journey through the “Falk universe” ended, she let a little bit of time pass before looking back and summarizing her trip: it's a collection of emotional encounters, funny moments, outtakes and, most of all, it's a big THANK YOU to all participants!
